2007.04.10 | ... and the american influence award goes to

woohoo, it's raining again. after many days of sun and heat (well not so much heat as warmth), the clouds covered they sky and have opened up and it's been raining on and off for the last two days. how i do enjoy the grey weather over here :)

so, quick update on the work prospects. i've just finished a phone interview with the boss up (or rather across) in the uk, and it turns out that there are some other candidates that they are considering. he did at least say that i am qualified for the position and i got a feeling that they might employ two people to replace the workers that left the project a while back. so basically, they are interested but i am not guaranteed the position yet.

now for a quick word on the american influence on poland. i've seen quite a bit of the city already, and i'm pleased to announce that there are not many american companies here (including franchises). the only prominent ones are mcd's and pizza hut and there is not a starbucks in sight (instead we have a coffee place called "coffee heaven"). there is, however, quite a lot of american programming on cable (all dubbed of course) which includes the likes of mtv base (what a load of crap).

why is it that you always forget what you want to write about when you sit down to start writing? will have to start taking notes when i think of things. so that's it for now... more to come later.
